Jinkerson lab: At the time of joining the Plants3D program, I am a first-year Ph.D. student in the Department of Botany and Plant Sciences. I am a previous alumnus of UC Riverside’s Biochemistry Department, where as an undergraduate, I had the opportunity to research in the plant biology-focused laboratory of Dr. Meng Chen. I am currently a part of Dr. Robert Jinkerson’s lab group performing research with the goal of engineering crops for controlled environment agriculture. Through the Plants3D program, I wish to continue to grow my interdisciplinary outlook on research, specifically combining my interest in plant biology, biochemistry, and engineering.
