Jinkerson lab: I am a Ph.D. student in the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology graduate program. My general interests include microbiology, synthetic biology, and metabolic engineering. More specifically, I am interested in the genetic engineering of micro-organisms, such as yeast, for the biosynthesis of chemicals with industrial, medical, or agricultural relevance. The Plants3D program will allow me to gain interdisciplinary skills that will improve my understanding and ability to conduct research during my graduate studies and future career.
