Li lab: As a chemical engineer, I am interested in discovering novel plant natural products (NPs) that would show some medicinal value. I plan to build a kinase sensor in yeast that could be used to monitor the phosphorylation activity of plant complexes reconstituted in yeast and thus find new plant secondary metabolic pathways. This Plants3D program will help me to strengthen my research skills and act as a motivation for further improvement. And the interdisciplinary training would benefit me to have a broader, more diverse experience outside my research field.
